Program Costs for Class of 2015
Graduate Tuition
Total Tuition for the Master of Engineering in Manufacturing (MEngM) Program is $44,720.
Fall semester graduate tuition: $22,360
Spring semester graduate tuition: $22,360
Summer tuition: $14,900, waived for all MEngM students working on their offsite group industry projects.

Tuition Financial Assistance
In 2015, all MengM students will be eligible for the summer tuition waiver, currently $14,900.
In addition, a limited number of students will be be eligible to receive a tuition-only MIT MEngM Scholarship of up to $10,000, usually awarded in late May of the enrolled Spring Semester.
The MEngM is an intense professional degree program that requires full time effort during all 12 months. As a result, Teaching or Research Assistantships cannot be used to support this degree. However, independent outside Fellowships (e.g. Fulbright or other external foundations) can be applied, but applicants must apply independently.
We encourage all students to apply for as many outside scholarships as possible. MIT defines outside scholarship awards as any private or state scholarship, grant or benefit received. This may include merit-based scholarships from private foundations, government institutions, tuition benefits from parents' employer or state grant programs. If you do receive an outside award, MIT applies it to offset tuition costs before reducing the MIT MengM Scholarship, so the combination does not exceed the net tuition cost.
Neither a department nor the Institute itself has the financial resources to provide support for all deserving students. Thus, it is important that prospective students explore all sources of aid available outside MIT to find means of financing their graduate programs.

Students will receive a more detailed expected cost letter from the financial aid office, which can be presented to private lenders for private loans.
