The museum and gardens house many of Auguste Rodin’s sculptures, including Le Penseur (The Thinker) and Le Baiser (The Kiss). Rodin had an important role in the history of modern sculpture by rebelling from the Beaux-arts tradition and creating complex, turbulent works that departed from conventional forms. It is also possible to see some of his students’ works on display, like those of Camille Claudel.
