This restaurant chain is present all across France, with 71 locations of which a fair number are within Paris. The menu is varied, based in French cuisine, but also including a number of dishes based on foreign foods, such as tandoori chicken, pita/dip platters, hamburgers and fries, and egg rolls, all of which we tried! I would recommend this restaurant to travelers as a welcoming place to take a filling meal.
Versailles
RER Ligne C, direction Versailles-rive-gauche-château
One of the few eateries at Versailles, this lively little brasserie is just a short walk away from the main chateau. Although the restaurant can get a little chaotic around noontime, the menu has a nice variety, from crêpes to pasta dishes to hearty salads. Although we did not have enough time to try the desserts, we had a nice lunch here during our visit to Versailles.
Leon de Bruxelles is a chain restaurant in France with over 37 locations, but we had lunch at the one on the Champs Elysees. It serves mostly seafood and is famous for its mussels. Danielle tried the mussels, Francesca ate fish soup. If Mika had been there, she would have eaten eggs.
Leon de Bruxelles
La Flotille
Our location: Place de la Republique
We stopped by Cafe Indiana before heading to the circus. Most of us ordered chocolat viennois, which is a delicious hot chocolate smothered with whipped cream. Mika tried a cappuccino, while Jacqueline and Professor Turk tried some interesting tropical drinks.
Lao Siam is a Chinese and Thai food restaurant. We started the meal by sharing a Thai soup and crab cakes. Laurie loved the surprise hot pepper swimming in her soup. Be sure to order family-style!

Laduree is one of the most famous patisseries in Paris. It is both a patisserie and a restaurant on the Champs Elysees and has some of the most elaborate pastries. It is more pricey than most patisseries but also has a larger selection and each pastry looks absolutely perfect. It is most famous for its macarons. We bought chocolate, macarons, and tartelette aux framboises (rasberry tart).
