This animation
below shows howt a magnet suspended above a superconducting disk is supported by magnetic pressure. Eddy currents in the disk prevent the magnetic fields of the magnet from penetrating the disk. The magnet sits in a
potential "cushion" above the disc, as the
fields of the two currents systems (one the atomic currents in the magnet, the other the eddy currents in the disk) repel one another.
