Anomalous Dynamics of Translocation

Monte Carlo studies of translocation times of a Model Polymer in two dimensions:

• Carmesin and Kremer Macromol. 21, 2819 (1988)
• Ratio between translocation times and free diffusion times:

• Translocation times appear to scale in the same way as the diffusion/equilibration times.

The non-diffusive translocation times imply  anomalous transport:

• Dynamics of a tagged monomer in a freely diffusing polymer is anomalous
• Dynamics of the translocation coordinate
