As I understand it, the radiation on Craterrock can be treated with
standard anti-rad meds for most of the affected area, which should
prevent any problems from developing. It's only the crater itself
that is sufficiently radioactive to require suits, and would need to
be avoided most of the time. We should be able to do some
"scrubbing" of the low radiation areas without too much trouble; the
high rad areas might want more specialized personnel.
I'm not sure Craterrock is the location of Scouting HQ to start, but
it feels like a good place for Scouting to have a base of operations,
as it combines both elements of wilderness and service, which are
traditional. It also gives Scouting its own system, which might help
the "high-profile" issues.
